I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University. My research focuses on comparative and global politics of climate change, environment, and energy, particularly in Ireland, the European Union, China, and India. I am currently Principal Investigator on the Irish Climate Policy Evaluation project, an 18-month project evaluating Ireland’s policy response to climate change since 1996, and co-Principal Investigator (with Prof. Pat Brereton) on the ClimateCitizens project, a 10-month project examining deliberative democracy and citizen engagement in climate change policymaking in Ireland. Both projects are funded by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency  I was central to the establishment of, and teach on, DCU’s new MSc in Climate Change: Policy, Media and Society.
