I am an Associate Professor in the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University. My research focuses on comparative and global politics of climate change, environment, and energy. I am currently Principal Investigator on the Irish Climate Policy Evaluation project, an 18-month project evaluating Ireland’s policy response to climate change since 1996, and co-Principal Investigator (with Prof. Pat Brereton) on the Citizens’ Climate Research Project, a 10-month project examining deliberative democracy and citizen engagement in climate change policymaking in Ireland. Both projects are funded by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency  I was central to the establishment of, and teach on, DCU’s new MSc in Climate Change: Policy, Media and Society.
